The unexpected 28-27 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday undoubtedly infuriated Lamar Jackson, who vented part of his anger on a fan via a tweet.
When someone wrote that games shouldn’t depend on kicker Justin Tucker if Jackson wants more than $250 million guaranteed in his next contract, the Baltimore Ravens quarterback reacted.
“Boy STFU y’all be cappin too much on this app mf never smelt a football field never did s—t but eat d—k,” Jackson wrote in a tweet.
Baltimore had a nine-point advantage over the Jaguars in the fourth quarter, but Trevor Lawrence’s two late touchdown throws helped Jacksonville complete a comeback. After the last one, Lawrence connected with Zay Jones for a two-point convert.
This season, the Ravens have been concerned about Jackson’s contract status. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, in September, Jackson turned down a deal worth about $250 million because it didn’t match the $230 million in guarantees that the Cleveland Browns gave Deshaun Watson.
The Ravens quarterback is only 25 years old, has a resume that includes an MVP, but this will continue to be a topic of discussion until he and the organisation come to an agreement.
