Armie Hammer claims that being sexually abused as a teen ignited his destructive sexual behaviour.

The actor told the Air Mail digital bulletin that once the allegations of his childhood sexual assault arose, he considered killing himself.

He denies any wrongdoing, but he does acknowledge being poisonous to the women he met online.

I was faced with sexuality in a terrifying way over which I had no control. My interests at the time were: I want to control the sexual environment.

Hammer said that he had previously only disclosed sexual abuse to two people; according to Air Mail, his godmother corroborated the information.

However, he disputes the rape accusations. The actor also acknowledged that he was "a million percent" emotionally abusive to the accusers.

He added that Robert Downey Jr. had helped him when he was at his lowest point and that he currently serves as a "sober friend" in a recovery facility.
