Elvis and Priscilla Presley's daughter Lisa Marie Presley passes away at the age of 54.

Officials told NBC News that the artist passed away on January 12 following a heart arrest.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department and deputies from the Lost Hills Sheriff's Station were involved, according to NBC News earlier that day.

Officials told NBC News that they attended to the woman at home before transporting her to a neighbouring hospital in an ambulance.

On Facebook, Priscilla Presley announced Lisa Marie Presley was experiencing a medical emergency and pleaded for prayers for her daughter and her family.

In her musical career, Lisa Marie Presley put out three albums, the first of which, "To Whom It May Concern," a pop rock song, came out in 2003.

Her most recent public appearance occurred on January 10 at the Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles.
